My name is Treasure Melton and I have been working at Oakdale Animal Hospital since September 2019. I really enjoy working at Oakdale and getting to know the clients and their fur babies! I was born in Natchez, MS and moved to Clinton, MS when I was three years old. I graduated from Hinds Community College with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 2016. I now live in Pearl, MS with my ginger tabby cat, Puddin. My hobbies are watching movies, reading, and spending time with family & friends. I also have a little bit of a Disney obsession. I have always been an animal lover and couldn't imagine doing anything else with my career other than helping them. In my spare time I volunteer with the Mississippi Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation group. I have rehabbed squirrels, opossums, rabbits, and a Canadian gosling. As much as I love all creatures, my passion is stronger for exotics and wildlife. I love learning about different animals and how to handle and treat them. I hope to one day further my career and work in the zoo medicine field. I have learned so much since working at Oakdale Animal Hospital. The staff truly cares about your pet's well being and treats each one as of their own.
